This an iconic symbol of the city and is just 1 km from the hotel. It is easily reachable on foot in about ten minutes by walking along the Via Morigi towards Via Sant’Orsola, Via Vigna, Via Brisa, Via S. Giovanni sul Muro and then taking the 3rd turn off at Largo Cairoli.

The Castle is just outside the historic city centre. It was built during the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, the then Duke of Milan.

During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, after undergoing numerous improvements, it was renowned as one of Europe’s main military citadels.
